BizzBee

Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 13, 2026

BizzBee ("BizzBee", "we", "us") is an invitation-only business networking app. This policy explains what personal data we collect when you use the BizzBee app and this website, why we collect it, who can see it, and the choices you have. We do not sell your personal data.

1. The key data we use and why

These are the pieces of personal data that matter most to how BizzBee works. Each one is used only for the purpose described.

Name

Identifies you as a member. It is how other professionals recognize you in recommendations, connections, messages, events, and invitations.

Visibility: Shown on your profile to other members.

Email

Identifies your account. We use it to sign you in, verify your account, recover your password, send two-factor codes, deliver invitations, and send important service notices.

Visibility: Never shown on your profile. Other members cannot see it.

Approximate location

Your city, region, and country. It helps us surface members who are closer to you, since nearby connections are often easier to turn into real relationships. It is a helpful signal for matching, not an essential one — distance never prevents a match.

Visibility: Shown on your profile. We do not store your street address or GPS coordinates for your profile.

Precise location

The full address of an event. It is only collected when you create or edit an event, so participants know exactly where to go.

Visibility: Shown to members who can see that event.

2. How location works

BizzBee handles the two kinds of location very differently:

  • Your profile location is city-level only. When you pick it on the map, the address is reduced on your device to city, region, and country before it is saved. You can also simply type a city instead of using the map.
  • Event locations are precise, because an in-person event needs a real address. Only enter an address you are comfortable sharing with the event's audience.
  • Device location permission is optional. If you grant it, your device's position is only used, while the location picker is open, to center the map and suggest an address. We never store your GPS coordinates, and we never access your location in the background.
  • Maps and address search are provided by your device's map service (Apple Maps on iOS, Google Maps on Android), which processes the map area and search terms under its own privacy policy.

3. Other information we collect

Information you provide

  • Account credentials: your password, stored only as a secure hash, and your two-factor authentication setting.
  • Professional profile: job title, company, short and long descriptions, skills, interests, languages, social and professional links, and profile photo.
  • Content you create: organizations, marketplace opportunities, events, event discussion threads, and the photos and documents you attach to them.
  • Communications and connections: messages you send and receive, connection requests, and event invitations and join requests.
  • Invitations: when you invite someone, we store their email address and any note you add, so we can send the invitation and link it to their account. Please only invite people who would expect to hear from you.
  • Reports and feedback: reasons you give when reporting a member, and feedback you send us.
  • Preferences: app language, font size, notification settings, whether your account is paused, and which version of the Terms of Use you accepted.

Information collected automatically

  • Sign-in history: the date and time of each successful login, used for security.
  • Change history: a record of changes made to accounts and content, used for security, dispute resolution, and troubleshooting.
  • Technical data: the app version you are using (to keep it compatible with our servers) and standard server logs, which may include your IP address.

Device permissions

BizzBee only asks for location, camera, and photo library access, and only when you use a feature that needs it — the location picker, or taking or choosing a picture. We do not access your microphone or contacts.

4. How we use your information

  • To create and operate your account and keep your sign-in secure.
  • To recommend people, organizations, opportunities, and events that fit you, based on your skills, interests, industries, languages, and approximate location.
  • To let you connect, message, host and join events, and post opportunities.
  • To send invitations, verification and security codes, and important service emails.
  • To keep the network trustworthy — reviewing reports, preventing abuse, and enforcing our Terms of Use.
  • To fix problems and improve BizzBee, using the feedback you send us.
  • To comply with legal obligations.

Recommendations are generated automatically by our own systems. They decide what is suggested to you, but never whether you can use BizzBee.

5. What other members can see

Your profile — name, photo, job title, company, descriptions, approximate location, skills, interests, languages, and social links — is visible to other members of the network. Your email address is not. Messages are visible to their recipients, and event threads to that event's participants. You can pause your account at any time to hide your profile from other members without deleting it.

6. How we share information

We do not sell or rent your personal data, and we do not share it for advertising.

  • With other members, as described above and as you choose to share through the app.
  • With service providers that process data on our behalf, such as hosting, file storage, and email delivery, only as needed to run BizzBee.
  • For legal reasons, when required by law or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our members and of BizzBee.
  • In a business transfer, such as a merger or acquisition, in which case this policy continues to apply to your data.

7. Retention and account deletion

We keep your data while your account is active. You can delete your account at any time from the app's Settings. Deletion is permanent and removes your profile, photos, organizations, events, opportunities, connections, messages, invitations, reports, notifications, and uploaded files.

Your sign-in history and the change-history records described above are kept after deletion, for security and legal purposes.

8. Security

Passwords are stored only as secure hashes, sessions use short-lived tokens, and you can turn on two-factor authentication in Settings. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your data and to limit access to it.

9. Your choices and rights

  • View and update your profile information directly in the app.
  • Choose how precise your profile location is — a city is enough — and deny device location permission at any time.
  • Turn notifications on or off, and pause your account.
  • Delete your account and its data from Settings.

Depending on where you live (for example, under the GDPR in the European Union or the LGPD in Brazil), you may also have the right to access, correct, port, or delete your data, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to lodge a complaint with a data protection authority. Contact us to exercise these rights.

10. This website

This website does not use cookies or analytics tracking. Its fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which means your browser connects to Google's servers and shares your IP address with them when you visit.

11. Children

BizzBee is a professional network and is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as BizzBee evolves. We will change the date at the top of this page and, for significant changes, let you know in the app.

13. Contact
